Is water running out of the bottom of the heater? Pad wet? Ground wet?
Pool heat pumps are capable of producing up to three to five gallons of condensation per hour of run time. A very simple way to test is to shut the unit off for several hours and leave the pool pump running. The water should start to disappear. If there is still water present put a chlorine test strip in the water around the heat pump. Condensation will not have any chlorine in it; if it is pool water your test will show a positive chlorine reading. If there is chlorine present, shut down the pool heater and pool pump and call the factory to schedule service.
